introduction
Hi! Welcome to my new blog/rant page/whatever-I-want-to-say page! I'm Alex, in case you still don't get it from my URL. I'm currently 21 years old which I think calls for a new blog that is way more serious or sort more formal than my since-high-school-blog-full-of-cute-guy-pictures. Yes, I like to-do-this-dash-thing. I recently graduated from college and now working like any other feeling responsible middle class person in the country. Supposedly the 20s is the most adventurous time of people's lives. Well, let's see about that. So yeah, that's basically it. Byeeee.

Things I Wish I Said Part 1 - Thursday, 21 November 2013 @ 21:27
Everyone has their own regrets when it comes to things that they wished they have said to certain people at certain situations. I admit that I do have the same regret and in this situation saying that you'll do it the next time isn't really applicable. I mean sometimes I have this conversations in my head with certain people but I never said them but I never made a move about it again if I was to meet the people in the future. So let's just say these are just mini-regrets.
Long story short, I'm gonna post here things that I wish I said in the past that I can remember. These are the instances that there isn't that much of a regret in not voicing them out. It's just sayang. So, this morning a German guy accidentally entered the women's car in the MRT. I was reading in my fone and then I heard him ask the lady beside her why is he the only guy in the car. The lady told him that it's the women's car and actually men are not allowed to ride in that particular car. The German said he didn't know about it and even said that he is feeling a little discriminated. He feels that people around him are shooting him daggers with their stares because he's not supposed to be there, that he doesn't belong there. As a response, the lady just laughed it off. If I was the lady or I was the one the German talked to I may have said something like: "Well, in our country it's not everyday that males are discriminated compared to women. Can this special car be just a consolation for the women of this country compared to other discrimination women receive from outside, in the real world? Although it's not that big of an accomplishment for women to feel empowered and all with this small portion in the train at least women feel that given the attention. However, in the end one has to reflect that segregation by gender and proving who's better is not the solution to end discrimination but rather just another way for more discrimination. Don't you think?" A little long for a response for a simple question for the German. But then again what is small when it comes to discrimination? None. |

Before I Die - Tuesday, 5 November 2013 @ 19:11
One of my dream jobs is to work with Candy Chang. She's a big inspiration to my teeny tiny artistic self and I really like her projects/installations a lot. Lately, my tita/lola in the States is asking me what I want as a grad gift since she's coming here in the Philippines next February. The thing is I'm saving up for a laptop and I think it's too much to ask her for a laptop, right? So I was thinking of asking her to buy me the Before I Die Tool Kit. :)
Each kit includes a large 39″ x 50″ stencil with a full column of the fill-in-the-blank sentence, “Before I die I want to _______.” The kit also includes a 10′ long paper headline stencil, metal chalk holders, two boxes of multicolored chalk, vinyl gloves, and a comprehensive how-to guide. But it costs $125 or like around P 5250 given that $ 1 = P 42 which means it's a bit pricey. But I really want this kit for a really long time now! I want to use it in Naga and probably in UP. I was thinking of doing this in the UP Fair barricades since recently they started using plywood. I'm still thinking where I'm gonna put this up in Naga. Excitingggg! :D

Fangirl feels. - Saturday, 2 November 2013 @ 08:32
So the other day I saw that AJ Rafael and Wong Fu Productions posted that they are on their way to London and was planning for a meet-up. Me, myself, and I just can't contain my feels and commented on their post that they should meet-up with other UK YouTubers like the Harries twins a.k.a. my babies, Marcus Butler, Alfie Deyes, and others. Then the next thing I know Wong Fu posted that they met Finn Harries! :)) OH EM TOO MUCH FEELS.
Wesley Chan, 1/3 of Wong Fu Productions which is my fave Asian American YouTuber and Finn Harries, 1/2 of Jacksgap which is my fave UK YouTuber in one freaking picture! I MEAN C'MON! It's not like I'm taking credit for them meeting or something but I did say that they all should meet up because that would be pretty epic. Am I right? Of course I am! Just look at them smiling, being all perfect, gahhd.

Your tagboard codes here. Width <500px. Strongly recommend cbox. It would be best if your tagboard was centralised if it's real small. Otherwise it would just look plain weirddd with triple 'd's!
